Armstrong- Got me into Cycling, besides Dean Meyer

I try and learn off of Armstrong. He is the Ultimate Fighter. I try and learn off his riding style and his technique. In 1993 Armstrong inspired me tremendously by his racing style when I watched him in person. I knew right then I wanted to be like him, the Ultimate Fighter on a Bicycle. I was a huge Armstrong fan before he did any of his legendary rides. When I watched him battle on the bike in 1993, in Monterey, he made me want to ride like him- some how- some way.

No Guts-No Glory

Live by the sword- Die by the sword.

I have the inner drive to succeed. It is begging to be released. I believe in myself and simply want the opportunity to try to win.

I must never doubt or be timid.

I must take advantage of life and try my very best to be my best.

Trying to win is not easy, and it does not always work out the way I want it to.

I just pray to have the chance to work hard and put myself into a position of success and victory.

Rider Down

Too fast into a corner, can not make turn in my lane, going too fast to stay in my lane, road slick, night ride, car coming in other lane, RIDER DOWN. It could have been really bad, it was only a matter of a few feet and a few seconds.

So many other riders have not been so fortunate.

I race for those who have been less fortunate!

I was very lucky tonight. All my crashing experience saved me. And GOD saved me.

Thank You God for giving me another chance to race and be even better, stronger, and faster!

Riding The Mountains~

The mountains are where I enjoy riding the most. Working my climbing skills, and then driving it down the downhill. I am fully improving on the uphills and am a natural on the downhills. The view in the high hills is incredible. There is less traffic and less people on the high roads, which makes for some peaceful moments on the bike. And I am able to test myself fully on the sloping terrain at hand. My favorite places to ride are the roads and trails of the mountains!

DH SERIES AHEAD..........

2 more DH races left in the 2007 CCCX Fall/Winter series. I really want to do my best.

Clinbing...........11-28-07

Today's edition of the Tuesday night ride featured lots of climbing. I will keep trying to improve my style, form, fitness, strength & skill going uphill.

My Scott Bike is really nice to ride. I want to ride my other bikes, but the Scott unit feels really good right now.

DH RACE

I tried hard and posted 3 wins on Sunday at CCCX DH #4. I did lose the Chainless race by .2 seconds, which kept me from sweeping my divisions on the weekend.

The course was really radical and I think everyone had fun working on their DH racing skills.

Hard Intervals Today

It was hard uphill intervals today. I like the uphill workouts, and I know intervals will get me going uphill. Doing these type of workouts really show me how far I can dig deep with effort and drive. I must get stronger and better. I really like climbing, and I hope to become better, smoother, and faster when climbing. I know with hard work, I can excel in going uphill.
