Desire To Improve

Felt pretty sore in the legs after 2 races on Sunday. The rain and the cold made the race one of the best so far this Cyclocross season. I want to keep improving and continue to develop my leg speed. I want to keep working on bringing my fitness to a whole new level.

CCCX #6

It will be CCCX #6 this Sunday in Ft Ord. The course is one of the very best. It has strength tests, technical tests and is fun to ride. I am so stoked to race on this course.

Up Hill

I posted my fastest time ever up the B climb on the Tuesday night ride. I set the pace steady at the bottom half, kept the legs really spinning in the middle portions, and drilled the finish part. It was a good workout and fun to test myself going up hill.

Under Geared

I tried hard today at the B.A.S.P. Final. I did select too small a gear and it really cost me on the flat portions of the course as my legs were really spinning out. It was a important lesson to learn. I also had a very untimely crash that set me back. I definitely need to keep upright or I can not expect to have good results.

Fitness

I can feel the fitness and form coming on. My broken rib is much better and my hard work will lead me to how I want to ride.

Inner Strength

Self belief is one of the most important keys to racing strong. You must be confident and believe in yourself.

Cross

It is the thick of Cross season now. The most important time to be healthy and ready to race. A few things I am working on is my spinning technique and leg turn over when pedaling, my core strength, and proper recovery and rest.

Strong Work

It was 50 miles tonight on the road bike riding with the Tuesday night group. I pedaled very strong and put forth a lot of work during the ride. I attacked the climb, and I attacked many times in the final portions of the ride. It was some strong work on the bike.

Set Up

I set myself up for a possible win at the B.A.S.P. race at Golden Gate Park. I was exactly where I needed to be after some very hard riding for the first 5 laps. I felt relaxed and was in the lead group. Then I had a mistake which lost me crucial time. I will make sure to correct this type of error. I know I will again set myself up for a win. My form is coming on better then ever and I know I can dig extremely deep during the race. I enjoy the pain of the efforts.

Feeling Form~

I can feel the form coming around. My legs are spinning more fluid and my strength is growing every day now. Getting hurt can sometimes put everything into perspective. Now that the injury is healing up, I can feel my form becoming better then ever for Cyclocross.

Today it was 4 hours on the road bike with hill repeats working on my climbing form.

Getting Better

I do feel the rib under my chest that snapped 10 days ago is getting better. It still hurts and is uncomfortable. Yet it is getting better each day now.

I WANT MORE

I just want to get more faster, more stronger, and more refined in my racing. I will fight through my injury, and I will continue to improve on all aspects of my racing. I need to stay focused and committed for 100% of the race. I know I can get to a whole other level of performance. I want more, and I know it is possible to achieve my desire to win.

GO~

The legs were turning over pretty good today. I dug extra deep and closed my mind to the injuries I had. I let the legs flow and told the to body go~!

STRENGTH FROM WITHIN

When there is little hope for a good race, and I am feeling injured and lacking strength, I must summon strength from within and simply hope for the best.

Manzanita Park

I will be going for it this weekend at Manzanita Park. It is the District Championships for Cyclocross in Nor-Cal, and I have set a stellar course for the racing action. I am going to be riding as hard as possible. My injury will be the farthest thing from my mind, and I will only be focusing on riding a smart race & a fast race.

I Tried..........

I tried.........
My bike broke, I crashed, suffered severe cramps in my 2nd race, then when all was said and done- it seems I damaged my ribs very bad.........
So it did not work out, but....

At least I tried.

I know for sure I will get better, I will comeback, and I will settle the score.

Re-Charge

It is best to sometimes take a step back, and re-charge oneself. It is not always important to train so hard and always push yourself to the limit. Sometimes a little rest will lead to the best performances of all.
