Cyclocross 2007

So far the Cyclocross has just started for me for 2007.

I know I am getting better, stronger faster!

I just want to improve, and use the races to gain my best fitness possible.

I am very pleased to be a part of the Scott/Ritchey factory Cyclocross Team.

The new bikes are very awesome.

I want to race my best, and try to win races!

DH RACING!

The DH races have been extra nice! I qualified 1st at the Sea Otter Dual Slalom which was nice. Lost in the Semi Finals, so I must improve on that in 2008. I did win Expert 35+ and Hardtail divisions at the CCCX DH Spring Series! Survived breaking a handle bar off at high speed, so that was the best, to come out of that ok! The Fall/Winter CCCX Series is great, and I have won many races. I have been doing 4 divisions in this series and that is a large task, but some great racing! Expert, Hardtail, Single-Speed, and Chainless divisions. I want to ride smoother, faster, and keep improving.

XC RACING

2007 XC Racing was exciting for sure. I had some really good events. The TBF Folsom Series I always like, and this year I was the 40+ Expert Series Champion! I also was the Overall winner of the 1st race! I have been very close to winning one of the races overall, and it happened this year. I think I could have had another, but had 2 mecahanical issues.

The CCCX Series was really good. I had many strong finishes and close races. I had a few race wins which was nice, and a few races where I lost right on the line! It made for some great racing. Also it was nice to do XC races at Toro Park, besides Ft Ord. I finished ranked 2nd for the CCCX Series.

Road Racing 2007

After being upgraded to Cat. 3 on the road, it was really good to get a taste of how the 35+1/2/3 group is, and how the racing goes down. I tried my best, but did have a issue over the summer where I had a tooth infection big time, and lost some valuable racing time. I did come back, and tried as hard as possible, and got some good racing in. I had a few top 5 placings, and learned an awful lot in the racing I did. Getting valuable experience really pays off. With proper coaching, keeping a positive mental approach, extremely hard training, and more racing under my belt, I know for sure that I will be better off next season on the road. I like racing road events and I will continue to try and improve.

Time Flys..............

I had a little trouble with my blog account. Now it is fixed and I can make some posts!
As I write this Cyclocross season is going on, the date is 10/17/07, and the CCCX Fall DH Series is also taking place...............there are many chances to race!

More Fresno Photos

I really want to try to get better and work hard to improve.......

FRESNO WINS

It was so very nice to win the SportsMobile Fresno series! I won the short track, time trial(2 divisions) anf the Cyclocross series! And I won the final 4 races this past weekend, and the team relay race. I was very lucky, and it could have been my most productive weekend of racing ever as I claimed 10 wins on the weekend! this was really good, and the final race was very muddy and tricky and it was good to win under those conditions. I also claimed the overall series crown for most points combined, so it was very nice! I was very thankful for this!

Must Keep Trying!

I might be sore, or have a bad knee, or feel tired, it does not matter. I must keep trying! If things do not go my way, I must keep trying, and I will find something good out there, somewhere!

My weeks totals were ok for Jan 15-21, 2007. I did 200+ miles in 15 hours, but after a 5 hour ride on Saturday I developed a little soreness in my knee. I then took rest on Sunday and Monday and iced it many times. My legs were really sore after a hard 5 hour ride Saturday, so I think rest was good.

I really need to focus on my diet and stay lean and not eat too much. Also I must work on rest, and staying relaxed when I am off the bike.

This weekend is the final 3 races of the Fresno race series. I will really try my best and suffer as hard as possible!
