Pouring rain, heavy wind, no breaks at all on my bike for the final 2 laps. This was just some of the action taking place at race #2 of the Total Body Fitness XC Series in Folsom. The conditions were some of the worst I have ever raced in. Yet I was always at the front of the race, sometimes alone, other times in a group. In the end it came down to me bouncing off a tree because I had no breaks to stop with. Getting back up, fighting back up to the front of the race with only 1 mile to go, and then claiming the win in the final stretch. There was so much mud, wet sand, & water to race through. The riding was super technical in the bad weather and no breaks for the final 2 laps. I had to fight brutally hard, while never giving up, and at the finish line I was the overall winner!
